Commitment ceremonies are not legally binding in any way, however, they are still a very real commitment by the two people involved.
They are performed without religious or gender bias and are a public proclamation of the feelings shared by two people who are committed to one another for life. They are ceremonies performed for a myriad of reasons by two people who love one another, who maybe cannot or do not wish to enter into legally binding marriage ceremony.
A Commitment Ceremony enables couples to proclaim their love for each other in the presence of family and close friends.
I will write a personalised ceremony for every couple and the ceremony can be performed at any venue of your choice. A beautiful Certificate of Commitment is provided at the conclusion.
I have the sincerest hope and belief that the law will someday be changed to recognise and reflect that marriage is, and should be, a voluntary and full commitment of two people who love each other, regardless of gender. I am hopeful that we all recognise such ceremonies are very special to those loving couples who wish to commit to a life together.
